Don't like any of the current underground gangs? Tired of being a follower? Want to be affiliated with the other powerful gangs and give orders, instead of being issued orders? Here is where you will find all of the information you need to know about making your own gang.
REQUIREMENTS:
To form your own gang, you must fulfill all of the following:
That's it.
BUILDING YOUR GANG:
From having your own gang, you get your own gangsters. Gangsters are gained solely based on the average of your base Strength and Wisdom. Here is the formula to figure it out.
For example, we have someone looking to start a gang, and he has 30 base Strength and 30 base Wisdom. Take the average, so 30 + 30 = 60, 60/2 = 30 total for that.
For every point in your average, you gain three average gangsters, and these members have 75 base EXP to distribute in each stat category.
For every five points in your average, you gain one veteran gangster, and these members have 125 base EXP to distribute in each stat category.
For every ten points in your average, you gain one commander, and these members have 175 base EXP to distribute in each stat category.
So, take into account the example we were using with our 30 average, we would have a total of:
This means for your average of 30, you have a total of 99 members in your gang! Not bad, huh?
The size of your army is only affected by the top dogs in your gang. This means the leader (you), your second-in-command, and any regional leaders you may have, will add to your ranks using the same format. If you have three other people who hold high rank in your army, the four of you will add up your averages, and that will be how many troops you have. So if you've got four people with an average of 40, that's a total of 160! That's A LOT more members isn't it?
Training:
Once per month, you will be able to train your members and improve their general stats! This will be done by doing a thread where you will actually train the members. It will be a solo RP thread, unless you have other PCs in your gang, in which case, they will be doing the training with you, for the same goal.
Doing training will boost the stats of all of your members in a specific category in your faction. To reiterate, all of your normal members will get a certain bonus, all of your hard core members will get a certain bonus, and all of your sub-leaders will get a certain bonus, and this bonus will affect any members you gain after the training has been done as well.
Simply put, say Kane does a training thread. The reward for this is as follows:
The stats for Normal Gangsters bump up from all 10s to all 11s, and this applies to members gained after training threads have been completed.
Gang Symbol:
All gangs will have some sort of emblem or in some cases, a tattoo, representing the gang they belong to. The symbol will a give a flat +5 to any stat chosen by the gang leader. The prices and information will be explained below.
- The symbol purchase will cost $1000 (Symbol must be purchased separately).
- All Gang NPC's automatically acquire Gang Symbol.
Territory:
To establish yourself as a gang leader, you must claim a region of a country. To do this, you must take the region by negotiation or force. If you would like to claim a region through fighting or negotiation, fill out the form below and post in the Quests board. If you would take it by force, a member of staff will GM the fight for you, and, if you defeat the enemy gang leader or the branch leader they have stationed in that specific region, it is yours to keep. If you are negotiating, a member of staff will GM whichever leader you are looking to gain the territory of. You can use whatever means you wish, be it kindness or intimidation. If you succeed, it is yours. If not, a fight will likely ensue.
FIGHT
As a gang leader, you can fight with other gangs, be they player-run gangs or GM-run gangs for whatever reason. This may be acts of war or retaliation, or a means of obtaining more land. The gang who wins the fight takes the region the fight is in. If the winning gang is the one on the defensive, they keep their territory, and if it is the aggressor, they take it.
REQUIREMENTS:
To form your own gang, you must fulfill all of the following:
- Have 30 BASE Strength or Wisdom (without items)
- 2 Other Supporting Player-Characters
- Reach the rank of Accustomed (300 posts)
That's it.
