Appearance:
At first glance, Ruby appears to be a nonthreatening, average girl save for a few abnormal features. Dark, raven hair contrasts strongly against her soft, fair skin. Full lips seem to consistently display a relaxed smile, while her heavy lidded eyes further her calm, composed demeanor. She has a scar running down the just under her left eye, obtained in a bar fight some years ago. But perhaps her most notable feature are the deep red hues of her irises. Both Ruby and her brother both have this strange mutation. She has a petite build, but is curvy around the hips as well as being being well endowed.
In terms of attire, Ruby has a pretty large wardrobe, most of which is going unused. Having gone through many fashion phases and an unwillingness to throw things out, she has a lot of options to suit her fancy. Typically, she just sticks with tank tops, skinny jeans, boots, and a jacket. (At least for the time being.)
Personality:
Ruby is an incredibly friendly and outgoing person, and is quick to make friends. She never assumes the worst in people and will always find something good, in even the most terrible person. As warm as her personality is, she doesn't take shit in her business and will not stand for somebody hurting her loved ones. Once you reach Ruby's inner circle, you have an ally for life. She has a very close relationship with her brother, Michael and have been inseparable since infancy.
She cares about several things, including her brother, alcohol, contraband, and gossip. Gang intel and other interesting information is a top priority for her to know about, and will barter for such intelligence. She will not stand for cheats, liars, and thieves.
History:
Ruby's upbringing was nothing spectacular. She was raised in Seattle, Washington in an average setting with average parents in an average house. Her bond with her brother is incredibly strong, and always has been. Being an underachiever, she completed high school with mostly C grades. Most of her free time was spent going to parties and making friends. When she turned twenty and Michael was nineteen, she thought it best to finally leave the house and move south. The duo ended up in Long Beach and took up residence in boring apartment. Ruby sought out classes to bartend while Michael took to the streets and got involved with a variety of people. Sometimes the interactions resulted in fights, sometimes he'd come out with a new friend
One night while out partying, a girl challenged her to a fight. Never being one to fight clean, Ruby smashed her beer bottle on a table and held it out as a weapon. But... then, so did she. Being far faster, the girl landed a clean slice on Ruby's face. Michael fought the two apart, and made it a point to stay even closer to his sister's side in an effort to protect her.
Eventually, he suggested moving out of the country to get a clean start and perhaps avoid any enemies they've made in past years, and they soon traced their roots back to Europe.
